Lower Township, in the southernmost point of New Jersey. Lower Township consists of the most significant year-round population in Cape May County, with around 23,000 residents. The 32-square mile Township is situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware Bay. The Delaware Bay offers some of the most remarkable sunsets in the state.

In Cape May Point State Park, several nature trails lead visitors to ponds, coastal dunes, marsh, and woodland areas where wildlife can be seen. The park’s ever-changing climate makes it an excellent place to observe fall bird migration. Another fantastic spot for bird watching is Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area.
